The National Center for Families Learning, a private nonprofit organization located in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Research and Evaluation Analyst.  This person will support NCFL in emphasizing increased outcomes, benchmarking, innovation, and measuring and communicating impact to internal and external audiences.  Duties will involve all things related to data collection and analysis, management and reporting.


Responsibilities to include:

  • Collect data (quantitative and/or qualitative) from implementation sites as appropriate and ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Train internal staff and sites in data collection, ability to understand data, and overall data monitoring. Provide technical assistance to staff and sites as required and requested.
  • Assist in development and selection of data collection tools.
  • Complete data entry from data sources as needed and requested.
  • Identify and correct data entry errors.
  • Navigate public data sources to locate data that is pertinent to organizational efforts.
  • Export or import data between data systems.
  • Implement policies and protocols to manage data collected from sites. Ensure policies and protocols are updated and revised as needed.
  • Support development, enhancement and maintenance of multiple datasets.
  • Support a process to reduce duplication of efforts in addressing organizational data needs.
  • Audit data on a regular basis and ensure data integrity.
  • Serve as liaison with online database vendor to ensure database is developed to specified standards, data is extracted as needed, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Share data reports with program and project leads as required.
  • Manage report running schedule and process.
  • Present data management updates at internal meetings.
  • Assist in researching, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce organizational reports and papers that meet organizational reporting requirements for funders and other external audiences. Assist in development of grant proposals and funding requests by providing relevant data.


Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Minimum of an earned bachelor's degree in business, information science, computer science, statistics, social or behavioral sciences, or a related field.
  • At least two years' experience with complex databases and research support
  • Familiarity with and effective utilization of hardware and software applications and equipment
  • Thorough and proven understanding of the principles of data management and analyses
  • Experience using technology to create custom reports
  • Analytical thinking with consistent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to be creative and a strategic problem solver
  • Orientation towards quality and results
  • Team oriented, trustworthy, and dependable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
